Green Futures International Scholarship 2026 – Fully Funded Postgraduate Study in the UK at the University of Exeter

What is the Green Futures Scholarship?

The Green Futures Postgraduate Taught Scholarship 2026/27 is a fully funded award for one outstanding student committed to environmental sustainability. The goal is to empower students with the skills, knowledge, and tools needed to address global sustainability challenges—particularly in communities that are most vulnerable to environmental degradation.

 Who Is Eligible?

  • Be classified as an international student for fee purposes.
  • Hold citizenship or a passport from a low- or lower-middle-income country as per World Bank categories.
  • Already hold an offer for an eligible Master’s programme (September 2025 entry) within the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy.
  • Have achieved—or be on track to achieve—the equivalent of a UK first-class undergraduate degree.
  • Not having previously studied or worked in a high-income country.

How to Apply

  1. Choose and apply to one of the eligible Master’s programmes via the University of Exeter postgrad portal.

  3. Complete the Green Futures Scholarship application, including:
    • personal statement (max ~500 words) addressing:
      • Your motivation to study your chosen programme and its relevance to a green future in your home country
      • Your past involvement in sustainability initiatives or community projects
      • How Exeter and the scholarship will support your goals
      • Your post-graduation plans and ongoing connection to Exeter 
  4. Submit your scholarship application. Visit the University of Exeter’s postgraduate courses portal
  5. Interview: Shortlisted candidates may be invited for a virtual interview.
  6. Notifications: Decisions are expected by around 16 June 2026.
